Workforce Development

CAMINOS Workforce Development covers the soft skills needed to pursue and maintain a career in technology. Students prepare to search for computer-based and professional jobs, grow within their careers, or explore the idea of establishing their own business. We achieve these objectives by providing one-on-one career counseling, professional and personal development workshops and internship opportunities.

Workshops
Our Personal and Professional Development Workshops aim to provide relevant information and resources to our students. Workshops are presented once a week during the course semester. Each workshop is catered to meet the needs of our students. The workshops are:

- Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate
- Interactive
- Computer-based
- Often led by local business professionals

Personal Development
Our Personal Development Workshops target the specific needs of our students as Latina immigrants. These workshops address their sociological, political, cultural, and economic needs.

Professional Development
We encourage corporations, small businesses and non-profit agencies to present their organization, career paths, and job opportunities to our students. Onsite interviewing for prospective employment candidates can be arranged by contacting Caminos.
